1，DDTM is a non-ionic Surfactant.

2，DDTM has the multi-function,such as wetting agent,defoaming agent, dispersing agent,leveling agent.

3，DDTM can significantly reduce surface tension at lower use levels to eliminate print or paint defects. It is a better foam control, better dispersion of solids, improved wetting, and decreased wetting times in pigment dispersions, and stabilize the stickiness of the solution.

4，Compared to the traditional surfactants, DDTM is lower water-sensitive.

5，These applications generally involve water/oil or water/inorganic combinations where surface activity is required, such as inks, sensitive Adhesive, damping solution,leather chemical products, emulsion polymerization pigment grinding aids, cleaning, agricultural chemicals, shampoo, metalworking fluids, adhesive paper coatings, pigment dispersion, latex dipping, drilling needs, coatings and the like.

Advantages：

一，            Surface tension

        Low dynamic and static surface tension. It can lower the system’s dynamic and static surface tension quickly, and move the surface tension to the system surface in order to assure the better wetting.

Above information shows that DDTM’ dynamic surface tension is close to static surface tension. Which means that DDTM can keep a good wetting even if in the acute activity. It can be used in spray coating, roll coating, brush coating, and high-speed printing whose surfaces shape very quickly. During the moment, it also can defoam.

 

1)      Traditional defoaming agent is limited by the temperature, but DDTM is not. There is no cloud point to DDTM, so it can be used in a wider range of temperature.

2)      The Consumption of traditional defoaming agent is big. DDTM has limited solubilityin water, so its consumption is smaller. DDTM can be used with traditional defoaming agent together in order to lower the using quantity to avoid some problems, such as: pearl eye, pinhole, creeping lines.

3)      It is better for controlling micro foaming.

       

 

 

三，Application：

 

Coating

DDTM can slove many problems about formulation, including foaming and wetting. It can lower the dynamic surface tesion, being used in the field of spray coating , roll coating, dip coating. It can strength the surface wetting, and make the water-based coating cover in the low surface tension materials. Traditional surfactant will foam,but DDTM won’t and can defoam. It works well with traditional surfactant and it is good for coating abrading.

 

Industrial maintenance coating

DDTM is used for water-based industrial paint to decrease foam during mixing and spraying paint. It can make paint film much polisher, and inhance the leveling property.。

 

Printing ink

DDTM is useful in ink of Flexography and offset printing. It helps ink dip into materials, such as paper , PET. It can defoam in the printing ink.

 

Writing ink

DDMT Keeps the stability of viscosity and dispersing in the ink. It has good dynamic wetting  ability to keep the writing smoothly. Because of the good defoaming property, it can defoam when producing and packing. It is much lower water-sensitive then other surfactant.

 

Water-based wood painting

DDTM is useful in the water-based wood painting. It can solve the problems of foam, unpolish, bad leveling, low water-sensitive, low adhesion .

 

Fountain solution

DDTM can protect fountain solution from emulsifying and foaming.

 

Hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive

DDTM has better wetting property which makes the glue on the plastic.

 

Leather chemicals

Water based leather chemicals requires good wetting agent, especially dynamic wetting property.DDTM can be used in those products, such as shoe oil,coating agent, polishing oil.
